Soap stars put their best foot forward to encourage people to sign up for a fundraising walk.

The actors Brian Capron (Coronation Street, Where The Heart Is), Andrew Paul (The Bill, Where The Heart Is), Kim Tiddy (The Bill, Hollyoaks) and Croydon-born Judy Buxton gathered outside Fairfield Halls, where they are starring in a spooky thriller, for the Our Happy Valley Walk photocall.

Beginning at the Fox pub on Coulsdon Common on August 17 the fundraising walk for Marie Curie Cancer Care winds its way through country lanes and farm tracks and walkers can either choose a three mile or five mile route.

Registration for the event takes place between 9.30am and 10.15am with the walk beginning at 10.30 am.

The registration fee is £10 for adults and £5 for under-16s.

To enter or donate online or for more information go to happyvalleywalk.org.uk or call 01883 832642.
