Three convicted killers who went on the run will learn how long they must serve in prison, two months after they were originally due to be sentenced.

Jurius, Viktoras and Valodia Tarasov were all found guilty of manslaughter at the Old Bailey on July 24 and were set to be jailed the following day.

But only Viktoras, 39, of Aurelia Road, Croydon, turned up at the court leading to a police manhunt for Jurius and Valodia.

Valodia, 35, of Abingdon Road, Norbury, was arrested the same day but Jurius, 33, from Brixton, managed to evade capture for nine days.

The brothers attacked Pawel Pacholak in a flat in Streatham on January 13 last year after wrongly accusing him of stealing a mobile phone.

He leapt from a bathroom window to escape the brothers and broke his neck.

The 37-year-old suffered multiple serious injuries, including to his head, face and torso, and broke 11 ribs, either in the fall at the flat in Streatham or during the attack.

A sentencing date has now been set for September 19.
