A car and a tram have crashed in Croydon town centre during rush hour.
Pictures posted on Twitter show the silver car jackknifed across the tracks in front of the halted tram.
User @PubBitchUK tweeted a picture of the smash, writing: "Yikes. Hope driver is ok. #croydon"
The crash happened near Sandilands station, according to Transport for London's tram network Twitter account.
Services between East Croydon and Sandilands have been suspended.
It is not known whether anyone was injured.
Twitter user @kingeralex wrote: "Tram has hit a car near addiscombe road #croydon total gridlock!"
