Croydon shoppers are invited to drop off old clothes at Centrale to raise money for a local charity.
ACLT founder Beverley De-Gale (ctr) with Sony Mistou and David Ordman of Centrale
It is estimated people hoard an average of 22 items in their wardrobe they will never wear, and now the community are being asked to leave the clothes in 'donation bin's' so the textiles can be collected and converted in to cash.
All funds raised will be donated to the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust, a charity dedicated to promoting bone marrow and blood donation.
The charity is committed to educating minority groups about the importance of blood and organ donation and bone marrow.
David Ordman, Centrale Manager said: "Croydon is a hugely multicultural area, so the work of the ACLT is very relevant for our community.
"Working together with our shoppers, we'd like to show out support to such a worthwhile local charity."
The donation bins will be located in the service area near Keeley Road and outside the shopping centre between Metro Bank and HMV on North End.
