Park entrance closure in the pipeline

Essential repair work is due to begin at Park Hill next week.

The park will remain open while Thames Water undertakes the repairs.

But the entrance at Water Tower Hill, off Coombe Road, will be closed from Tuesday February 7, for up to two weeks Signs are being put up at this entrance informing park users about the work and giving alternative routes into the park.

Thames Water will be in the park for up to six months in order to reline 108m of water pipe, and other entrance closures may be necessary.

Samantha Mills, Thames Water’s contract manager, said: “The park will remain open for the duration of the project and there should not be any interruption to customer supplies but we apologise for any inconvenience to the park users.”
