The Christine van Emst Arts Champion
- renamed in honour of the former Croydon Guardian leisure editor who died in 2006, this category is for anyone who has made an outstanding contribution to arts in the borough.
Act of Bravery
- do you know someone who has risked something for another?
Business Champion
- who has made a difference in business? It could be they have transformed it into a socially responsible business or doubled the profit margin.
Charity Volunteer of the Year
- who goes out of their way to help others or a charity in their own time?
