A new business has joined our We Think Croydon's Champion campaign to help us promote our town as a great place to live, work and play.

Shirley Oaks Hospital will be sponsoring the health category.

Shirley Oaks Hospital provides high quality healthcare, the latest technology and relaxing surroundings, allowing patients to recuperate at ease, in privacy and with the type of comforts associated with home.

The hospital, located in Shirley Oaks Village on the outskirts of Croydon opened in 1986 and is part of BMI Healthcare.

Set in picturesque grounds, patients visiting the hospital are welcomed into a bright comfortable reception area, restful waiting rooms and a cosy dining room where family members can get a hot meal after visiting their loved ones. Treatments at Shirley Oaks Hospital are available to everyone, whether they have private medical insurance or choose to pay themselves. BMI Healthcare have developed the BMI Card which offers patients the opportunity to budget for self pay on any treatments they may receive at the hospital.

Most patients are referred by their GP, except for those wishing use services from the Physiotherapy department, who can contact the hospital direct.

Shirley Oaks Hospital's commitment to the Croydon community includes support of the Croydon Colorectal Cancer Charity. Many of the hospital staff also devote their own personal time to vital community work.
