Kuqi heads back to Suffolk
Crystal Palace flop Shefki Kuqi has joined Ipswich Town on loan for the rest of the season.
The Finnish striker has been out of favour at Selhurst Park since making a crude gesture to home fans during last month's defeat to Wolves, for which he was fined two weeks wages and slapped on the transfer list.
Manager Neil Warnock had indicated Kuqi's Palace career was over, and now old club Ipswich have come in end his Selhurst nightmare.
Signed from Blackburn for £2.5million in August 2006 as a last minute deadline day deal by Peter Taylor, Kuqi made 47 appearances for Palace, scoring just eight goals.
He was loaned out to Premiership side Fulham earlier in the season where he played ten times but failed to hit the net.
The best spell of the 31-year-old's career came when he played for the Suffolk club for two seasons between 2003 and 2004, scoring 32 goals in 88 games.
He should make his first appearance against Charlton Athletic tomorrow.
