BB's Alex was expelled for drugs, claims former schoolmate

A former schoolmate of Big Brother's Alex has claimed she was kicked out of secondary school for smoking drugs.

According to Beckenham's Alex Brett the mouthy gymslip mum was expelled from their school, St Mary's Catholic High School, in Woburn Road, Croydon, after being found smoking cannabis in the toilets with some of her friends.

The 24-year-old said she then moved onto Westwood High School, in Spurgeon Road, Upper Norwood, but left when she fell pregnant aged 15.

Mr Brett told the Croydon Guardian he also went to the same primary school - Park Hill Junior School in Stanhope Road, Croydon - as the 23-year-old accounts executive, who has been given odds of just 125/1 by Ladbrokes to win the show.

"I knew her quite well at Park Hill and she was in my class," said Alex, who works in recruitment.

"She was very quiet at primary school and just like an angel - she wasn't what she is now.

"But when she was in Year 8 at St Mary's she and two or three of her friends got done for smoking pot in the toilets. It was a big deal at school when it happened."

And another former pupil of St Mary's, who did not want to be named, said the single mum acted just like she does on Big Brother as she did at school.

"I think she is exactly how I remembered her," said the source.

"I think she will be booted off Big Brother as soon as she's up for eviction - she's so unpopular.

"She's just a scumbag to be honest. While she was at St Mary's she became really mouthy and would row with anyone who stood up to her.

"She was one of those girls who would terrorise you for talking to her."

That dont surprise me, she seems like a right cow they way she has been portrayed. I dont know her so I cant really say she is can I?

What makes me laugh is that most kids who tried drugs have smoked them at school, she obviously was stupid enough to get caught!!!

I have known Alex since we went to primary schol together. She is a lovely person, she looks after my kids and will do anything to help anyone. She also does a lot of volutanry work as well something she doesn't shout about

So Simon, can you then explain her behaviour in the Big Brother House?

A "Lovely person" who "looks after kids" does not scream and shout, swear and curse at a young girl who burnt chips. If I were you I'd be curious as to how she spoke to my kids when I wasn't there. She clearly has no patience.

And the volentary work but be the ONLY thing she hasn't shouted about.

The girl is the mouth of the south.

Hi C, SW London I totally understand how you feel, but you have to understand it is all one big act. Everyone is falling into to the trap as your all talking about her, I admit she could have done it a different way but at least this way she's been in most newspapers for the last few days and will probably make a few quid out of it all and that was her plan!! GUYS IT'S TV IT'S ALL AN ACT

Then the girl deserves an award for her outstanding acting.

You can see the hate in her eyes when she spits out her venom, you cant fake that!

Look. I can appreciate she might behave differently in day to day life, and do you know why?? Because no one in the real world would put up with her rubbish.

Simon, thank you for your polite response but Im pretty sure, unless she severely pulls her proverbial finger out, I wont have anything nice to say about her.

Firstly, learn to spell.

Secondly, learn to read, one of her "friends" is saying its all an act, a rouse to get attention fame and money. Oh sorry I should explain to you what a rouse is shouldn't I? It means she is FAKE.

Killa P (stupid name by the way - when you grow up you'll look back and laugh!!, your views are pathetic. Can you not see what a bad attitude Alex has? And what a bad attitude you have too? Can you not see the bad image of black people that she is creating? Not all black people are like you and her, some of us are educated, professional rational, intelligent, sociable, calm and NICE!!! Your views are embarrassing. Get yourself some qualifications, a job, a decent relationship and settle down. Set yourself some positive goals you want to achieve (NB: NOT making money through drug dealing, gun-toting or anything else illega. Or anything unrealistic like being a famous rapper). Take up a hobby and please CALM DOWN. Your values are misguided. You strive to achieve the wrong things (which is why you think Alex is OK)and you will end up nowhere in life. Do you want that? By the way the press always delve into the personal lives of the twits that go on BB - so why are you so surprised? The sooner they get that embarrassment to Black People off the TV the better. She is encouraging young people to have the wrong attitude to life and this can only be dangerous for society as a whole.

I dont understand why the guardian is printing this...they are supposed to be reporting on things that are in the public's interest....this does not affect the community, so its just a waste of space. So what if she got kicked out of school, she still made something of herself! And if u dont like Alex then u can do 1 of 2 things 1. turn the tv off or 2. change the channel
Stop trying to sensationalise stories and make her look bad. There are worse people out there. and a final point "he without sin cast the first stone." none of you are perfect, and u wouldn't want ur past played out on the national media, so think before you comment!!

y do people take these things so personally. yea alex was acting hype,she was rude and she has been chucked out so gt over it. i think in most of her argument she had a valid point but the way she argued did not portray it.shes out now so just move on wid ur lifes....sum people r all getting emotional over a tv show..at the end of da day noone didnt force these contestants inside-if you cant take the heat....remove urself from the big borther house.
