Following the success of cycling lessons at Winterbourne School, Green Guardian champions are extending the service.
The De Zoysa family, who last year won our green household award, will continue to offer free classes to children and their parents every Saturday throughout August at the school.
We hope to encourage parents to cycle with their kids and for the children to have good road knowledge so when they are older, we see them cycling on the road with a good appreciation of other road users."

They are also introducing two classes at Selhurst Park.
It is hoped they will help participants improve and gain confidence in cycling on the road.
They will also encourage parents to cycle to school with their children.
Channa De Zoysa said: "It's a green initiative to get people cycling on the road and to get them off the pavement.
"We hope to encourage parents to cycle with their kids and for the children to have good road knowledge so when they are older, we see them cycling on the road with a good appreciation of other road users.
"Hopefully, they will be safe and happy."
The lessons take place at the school in Winterbourne Road, Thornton Heath, every Saturday from 2pm until 5pm and at Selhurst Park, Whitehorse Lane, on Sunday, August 19, and Sunday, August 26, from 3pm until 6pm.
At the end of the session there will be an instructor-led ride for one hour and the lessons are available only to children accompanied by adults.
Places are limited, so you may need to book by calling Channa on 07904 021944.
