Car enthusiasts will have the chance to revel in UK’s finest all-Italian motoring event Auto Italia.

More than 1,000 Italian cars – from the fastest Ferrari to the most unassuming Fiat 500 – will fill Brooklands Museum’s grounds.

All the great Italian makes, including Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia will be on show.

The inner paddock in front of the clubhouse will be reserved for especially rare and interesting cars, including DK Engineering’s Ferrari F40 and Enzo, while eagle-eyed fans can scour every inch of the motoring village, finishing straight, banking and outer paddock for that elusive Autobianchi or Stanguellini among the chrome and polished finery.

Other activities include an hour of demonstration runs for some very special cars on the Mercedes-Benz World handling circuit from noon, and a session on the famous Brooklands Test Hill in the afternoon. There will also be an extensive trade village, club displays and special catering throughout the site.

In addition to the visiting Italian beauties on show, all the usual museum displays including classic cars, motorcycles, aircraft and London Bus Museum will be open.

Parking for Italian cars is on the museum site via the campbell gate, accessed from Brooklands Road, and owners are advised to arrive early to guarantee a space.

Parking for non-Italian cars will be in The Heights, off Wellington Way.
