To celebrate the Tour of Britain coming to Epsom on Saturday 21 September, The Ashley Centre will be running free workshops for children to create their very own “Sporting Support” flags and wall hangings to wave at the cyclists as they pass through the town.

The Tour of Britain is the UK's biggest professional cycle race and the country's largest free-to-spectate sporting event. On Saturday 21 September Stage 7 will start from the Grandstand and pass through the town at around midday.

Children of all ages are invited to come in from 9.30am until 3.30pm and make their own flags or wall hangings and then to cheer on the cyclists as they travel from the Grandstand down Longdown Lane South, Alexandra Road, Upper High Street, Epsom High Street, Ashley Road, Ashley Avenue (behind The Ashley Centre), South Street and out towards Ashtead on the Dorking Road.

And the “Sporting Support” flags and wall hangings aren’t just reserved for the Tour of Britain - they can be used to show backing for any sporting event!
