A Sutton bike technician is launching a unique new mobile bike shop in the capital with the help of crowd funding.
Freddie Vaval’s start-up Bike Clinique set out to raise £15,000 to finish work on a bright orange VW van that will become the Mobile Bike Shop and he believes will ‘change the cycling industry’ when it launches later this month.
Freddie said the van will ‘provide a full retail experience and establishes a one-to-one mechanic to customer interaction’.
The van will also serve gourmet coffee.
Freddie said: “Our model was designed with mechanics in mind.
“Having worked in the bike industry for over six years it's exciting to deliver a model that values a mechanic's expertise, allows them to participate in the economics of product sales, and provides them the opportunity to build a long-term relationship with the customer.”
