Children's author Priya Desai will be at Waterstones in Wandsworth and Putney next month.
Miss Desai will be reading excerpts from her popular books, suitable for four to nine-year-olds.
There will also be activities for children, such as colouring and worksheets based on the books.
Her books are self-published and focus on specific school skills like handwriting and spelling.
Benjamin Writer-Messy, published last year, is about a boy who struggles with his handwriting, whilst Jake Monkey-Tail is about a monkey who cannot spell.
The stories help to build confidence in children who have difficulties with literacy.
Miss Desai will be at Waterstones in Putney on October 22 and in Wandsworth on October 28 from 11am to 1pm.
