A Wimbledon filmmaker and photographer will be hosting an exhibition of panoramic photography from his travels of Europe.

Yohan Forbes will be displaying his work as part of Emilie Mendes’ Travel and Architecture Solos exhibition in Lewisham for July 11 to 22.

From the industrial wastelands, abandoned warehouses and cityscapes of London, the heights of the Swiss Alps and the mountainous valleys of Spain, ‘moment’ depicts photography designed to "show nature and modernity’s unique expressions within European culture and environment".

Mr Forbes said: "As a film maker you want to establish location, evoke a feeling and create a reaction that brings the viewer into the world of the film.

"As a photographer I wish to do the same.

"Whilst the aid of the moving image isn’t available, you have just one frame to express that moment, story or theme."

Forbe's 2009 film, Project One - a skateboard journey across the architectural landscape of London - won best film at the BFI Future Film Festival and was acquired by BFI national archives.

He has gone on to work with brands such as Adidas and Wonderbra.

The exhibition is free and will be open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12 to 6pm.
