If you are out and about on the streets of Sutton over the next week or so, chances are you may stumble across a few more stools and easels than you are used to.
Times Square’s Community Art Space is an exciting new centre for the arts, and will launch with a special exhibition of work inspired by Sutton and the surrounding area.
Artists Neal and Helena Vaughan and Abel Kesteven are hosting the display, which will see them produce a series of artwork made on location in Sutton’s famous shopping areas and surrounding parks.
And the public are being asked to get involved.
Neal explains: “I often paint outside and this is the perfect opportunity to do that in Sutton under the glare of the public.
“It is a daunting prospect, but an exciting challenge.”
