Royal College of Art students and staff have created an exhibition looking at time and place.

Departure Lounge will be on at the Pump House Gallery for four days.

Five teams across the programmes of applied art, architecture, design, fine art and fashion were selected to take part in the cross-disciplinary project.

Artwork looks at the extent airports are dominating our lives, with the endless repetition of tensor barriers, check-ins and notice boards.

Time, place and encounter are encompassed by architectural space, urban intervention and the transience of every day experience.

The outcome of the exhibition placed a focus on problem solving, working with processes and narrating stories.

It has been co-curated by tutors at the Royal College of Art Steve Bunn and Savina Torrisi, with design by Davide Di Pietro.

The gallery is an exhibition space, housed in a four story Victorian tower on the lakeside in Battersea Park.

It is owned and managed by Wandsworth Council, with a focus placed on the provision of contemporary visual art.
