Fans of Pan-Asian cinema have a treat in store with an upcoming festival at the Prince Charles cinema near Chinatown.

The Terracotta Far East Film Festival 2011 features some of the best new films from China, Malaysia, Japan and Korea, running from May 5 to 8.

And there will also be various Q&As with actors and directors.

And cinema-goers in Battersea and Balham can also enjoy half-price meals at Bento Japanese restaurants.

Kicking off the festival is the UK premiere of critically acclaimed Chinese film The Lost Bladesman. Donnie Yen (Ip Man, 14 Blades) stars in this historical epic about the life of warrior Guan Yu Chang.

While there are also a few international premieres, including Revenge: A Love Story, and Karate Girl (KG), with a Q&A with the star, Rina Takeda.

Plus European premieres include Choy Lee Fut, starring Hong Kong action superstar Sammo Hung (teaming up with his real-life son), and Yakuza Weapon, described as "a wild combination of hard-boiled gangster action, manga-style comedy and splattering special effects".

There are also a number of dark Korean thrillers, including the UK premieres of Man of Vendetta and Petty Romance.

The film that closes the festival, Japanese fantasy Milocrorze, is described as a frenetic, colourful tale of obsessive love.

The Terracotta Far East Film Festival 2011 runs from Thursday, May 5 to Sunday, May 8. A festival pass costs £70, with individual tickets priced £8.50.
