Eleven year old MOLLY CHARTRES, winner of Hatty’s Sweet Shop competition to design a brand new Epsom sweet was the very special guest in The Ashley Centre this week when she was the first to see and sample her successful confectionery.

Hatty’s Sweet Shop owner Harriette Coleman said: “It was so exciting to show Molly her sweet that has been produced based on her winning design. The sweet is yellow and green which are Epsom’s official colours and it is shaped like a jockey’s hat. It is unique to us here in Epsom and it tastes delicious!”

Molly’s design was chosen from a staggering 243 entries. Her prize is one year’s worth of sweets, which she can collect as 100g each week.

The sweet launch coincides with Hatty’s Sweet Shop’s first anniversary and to celebrate there will be a day of fun things to do this Saturday 26 October including competitions, lucky dip, guess the number of sweets in the jar, and of course the launch of Epsom’s Town Sweet!
