You don’t need to wait for the Olympics or the football World Cup to get into the Rio carnival spirit because a new Brazilian bar has opened underground in Brixton.
Named after the country’s famous cocktail Caipirinha Bar will be creating its own mini carnival until 2am ever weekend with Brazilian eats, beats and cocktails in the converted tunnels near the iconic 19th century Bon Marche in Ferndale Road.
The original tiling contrasts with the tropical interior while the bar serves up colourful cocktails and authentic food and DJs and musicians play on Friday and Saturday nights.
