Belgo brings a slice of Belgian culture to the streets of Clapham.
The London-based chain has branches in Bromley, Covent Garden and Holborn, with the south-west London branch located in Clapham High Street.
An impressive selection of beers are on offer, giving a truly Flemish experience to wet your whistle.
I am not normally the type of lady to sip a pint, but there is a range of fruity beers and even beer-cocktails to suit those not into their bitter.
My bottle of Fruli Strawberry was refreshing, while my beer-drinking friend was delighted with Belgo’s own Pils on tap.
The restaurant is currently hosting LobsterFest, offering plates of the
crustacean for £19.95.
What’s more, you do not have to feel guilty for pigging out, as Belgo donate £1 to the National Lobster Hatchery, which will release another baby lobster back into the sea.
A kilo pot of moules is also on the menu, as well as burgers and spit-roasted chickens.
After eating some lip-smackingly good food we head to 64th and Social, which is only a few doors down.
The cocktails here are really something, while on Friday there are some fabulous live bands playing until 2am.
