Christmas is drawing closer and throughout the borough lights will be switched on, mulled wine supped and mince pies nibbled on.

Various fairs, markets and parades are making their mark in the countdown to the big day.

Following tradition, families and friends will come out in force to get in to the Christmas spirit.

Cobham
A light parade will start from St Andrew's School at 6.30pm making its way to the High Street at 7pm as the Christmas lights are switched on. The parade will end in Church Street, where stalls and shops will be open.

Expect limited road access in the area from 6.30pm to 7.15pm.

Walton
The Walton Festival of Lights is on November 29, with stalls, rides and entertainment through the day. From 10am to 7pm at Walton rown.

A parade will start at 5.30pm followed by the lights switch on in High Street.

Thames Ditton
The village Christmas fair will take place November 30 from 3pm to 6pm, with presenter of BBC1 daytime show Homes Under the Hammer, Lucy Alexander, is switching on the Christmas lights in Thames Ditton village on November 30, at 4.30pm.

Hersham
Father Christmas is arriving at Squire's Garden Centre on November 30. Children can enter Santa's grotto for free all day and receive a gift.

East Molesey
East Molesey will become magical as stalls, refreshments and games celebrate the turning on of Christmas lights on Walton Road from 5pm to 7pm on December 3.
