Legendary two-tone band the Specials headline next summer's Kew the Music, along with UB40, Jools Holland and Caro Emerald.

Having recently completed a sold out UK and European tour, the men from Coventry close the week-long music festival, held at Kew Gardens in July.

Fronted by Terry Hall, the current line-up of the ska outfit, who burst on to the scene in 1979 with the now classic Gangsters, features original members Lynval Golding, John Bradbury and Horace Panter.

Rude boys and rude girls can expect a frenetic night of skanking to the likes of Monkey Man, Too Much Too Young and Concrete Jungle.

The Specials take to the Kew the Music stage on Sunday, July 12, the final night of the festival.

Before that though, Britain's most popular reggae act UB40 will have the crowd on its feet as they bring hits such as Red Red Wine and Kingston Town to Kew.

Formed in 1978, the band's original line-up last 30 years until lead singer Ali Campbell's departure in 2008, but now he has joined forces with original members Astro and Mickey Virtue as UB40 Reunited.

The reggae stars from Birmingham perform at Kew the Music on Saturday, July 11.

Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra return to the event on Friday, July 10, after successfully selling out and wowing the festival's audience this year.

The former Squeeze singer's touring band have been on the road for 20 years and will feature regular guests including Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Mabel Ray.

Also on the bill is jazz singer Caro Emerald, who has gained legions of fans after her opening set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival this year.

Hot off the heels of her UK number one album, The Shocking Miss Emerald, the pop artist appears at Kew on Wednesday, July 8.

Two more exciting acts will be announced by organisers in the new year but with tickets going on sale at 9am on Friday, December 12, move fast to make sure you are there.
