Wildlife lovers will surely get into the festive spirit after a visit to the WWT London Wetland Centre in Barnes next month, thanks to their Christmas Winter Wonderland Weekend.

Children can enjoy a husky sleigh ride and to visit Santa in his grotto, and watch the unique Christmas Wetlands show.

Guests of all ages can also have their pictures taken with the animals.

Jamie Wyver at the wetland centre said: “This is the third year we have done Santa and huskies - the huskies are usually the main thing people get excited about. We also have a Christmas show going on through the weekend - A Wetland Christmas Carol.

“We also have wine tasting adults and Shire Horses on the Saturday.”

Admission is free with a standard wetland centre ticket and mulled cider, hot chocolate and mince pies will also be on offer.

TV presenter and garden expert Gay Search will also be heading to the Wetland Centre to conduct Christmas Wreath making workshops with natural materials and ornaments on December 2.

Winter Wonderland Weekend takes place at the WWT London Wetland Centre in Barnes on December 8 and 9. The event is free with wetland centre admission.
