A teacher will be taking his classroom experiences to the stage for a jam-packed evening of comedy.

Peter Kermally, a teacher at Stanley Park High School, Carshalton, will host a night at the Carshalton Comedy Club.

He says the evening would be the perfect remedy for those post Christmas blues with six different acts performing their own unique brands of comedy.

Kermally says: "I have been doing this for three or four years now. I just decided I wanted to do stand up.

"It’s like acting which I also do. It is quite obsessive and addictive - once you do a good gig you want to do it again.

"I’m a teacher so I get a lot of my jokes from real life and observational stuff.

"It is much the same just doing it in front of a different audience.

"We are going to have six acts including a 15 minute sketch and our own special house band."

The evening is recommended for people aged 16.
