Boeing Boeing comes to Fairfield Halls
12:00pm Wednesday 6th March 2013 in Freetime
Boeing Boeing
A comedy full of mayhem and matchmaking is coming to the Fairfield Halls this month, writes Andy Bloss.
Marco Camoletti’s comedy Boeing-Boeing is being performed at the Ashcroft Theatre next week.
Kim Tiddy, formerly of The Bill, Zoie Kennedy from The Royal and Ciara Janson from Hollyoaks all star.
Bernard, a successful architect living in Paris, thinks he can easily cope as he tries to juggle three flight attendant fiancées without them finding out about each other.
But when an old school friend turns up unexpectedly and a new fast Boeing jet is introduced, Bernard finds it increasingly different to keep the women separate despite the help of his housekeeper Bertha.
A spokesman says: "The lies told become more and more difficult to reconcile as the trio improvise at breathtaking speed in a near faultless piece of theatrical invention with the inevitable hilarious consequences."
Kim Tiddy, who plays one of the air stewardesses, says the show has been well received so far.
She says: "It is very funny and it is a high energy show. I remember seeing it in the West End and I just thought I would love to be in this play.
"It is all about whether or not Bernard can keep all three of us on the go. It is a real farce and it is really good. I love performing it every night.
"My character is a bit over the top and a bit of a gold digger really. We have got some good feedback so far.
"I am looking forward to performing in Croydon as well as I haven’t played at Fairfield Halls before."
