7:00am Saturday 9th March 2013 in Vibe By Lauren May, Chief Reporter
A Mitcham artist is enjoying success after his work was accepted into a national art exhibition.
Jincheng Liu, of Pollards Hill, was born in China but moved to London in 1989 to study fine art at the University College of London and went on to set up his own studio in London in 1996.
His latest work, ‘The Boy Came out of Snow Mountain’, was selected from thousands to appear alongside leading artists at the Royal Society of British Artists annual exhibition.
The exhibit will be on display at the Mall Galleries near Trafalgar square until March 17.
Founded in 1823, the Royal Society of British Artists was established to help artists display their work in Central London. Today the Society exhibits an eclectic mix of art from sculpture and paintings.
