Open mic night launched to attract untapped talent
11:09am Thursday 14th March 2013 in Freetime
The Hurlingham Pub & Kitchen in Fulham will host an Open Mic Night on Thursday, March 21, hosted by Audio 287.
Voluntary performers are free to come around from 7 pm to sign up, the event starts at 8 pm.
Rob Knowles, owner of Audio 287, said: “Anyone who has any kind of talent, whether it is comedy or music, should come along and give it a go on the stage.
“It is a way for artists to attract attention and get noticed completely for free.”
Additionally, performers get a 10 per cent discount on any food that night.
While The Hurlingham hosts live music performances every Friday already, pub owner Ben Hurley wants to launch open mic nights on a regular basis.
He said: “Live music should be brought back into pubs, as people love live performances where they can sing and dance along. I think together with Audio 287 we could create something great for the community."
