Children will be able to make their own exciting inventions from recycled materials at a free science workshop.
The Kids’ Club at the Heart shopping centre is returning this month, with the focus this time being on the importance of recycling and green energy.
The workshop will give children the opportunity to make and take home their own cars, windmills and other wacky inventions from materials such as cereal boxes, drink cartoons and tin foil.
Mark Middleton, centre manager, says: “The Kids’ Club at the Heart is a perfect way to teach our future generations about how vital it is to care for the environment whilst having the opportunity to do something fun and exciting.”
The workshop is free to join but runs on a first come first serve basis and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The Kid’s Club: The Heart Shopping Centre, New Zealand Avenue, Walton; Saturday, August 24, 10am to 2pm; for more information, call 01707 275050.
