Where antelope play: Wanda reviews The Antelope, Tooting
Sometimes when entertaining a group of people with different tastes and interests it can be hard to please everyone.
Even my ultra-picky mother, Wilma, enjoyed a recent visit to this gastropub.
Visitors will find darkly-lit interiors, shabby chic furniture and dark wooden panelling, giving off a homely feel.
Top marks go to the venue for always having a seat available, owing to the sheer size of the place.
At the front of the building there is a cosy lounge-style bar, followed by a large dining room and drinking hall round the back complete with a big plasma screen.
There is also a new room at the back of the building for private events, as well as a beer garden.
A well-stocked bar features several fine ales, a good selection of wine as well as a few cocktails.
The regularly changing menu offers something a bit more fancy than your traditional pub fare.
Sea-bass, roast leg of lamb and saffron risotto are some of the highlights, while roasts are also served on Sundays.
