It's time for ice maidens to thaw, says London Dating Coach Hayley Quinn
I don’t know who started this rumour that men only like ice queens.
You know the kind of woman who is beautiful, impossible and who makes men work for her.
Who dismisses a guy for at least six months before she dates him.
Who demands blood, sweat, tears and quite possibly a free drink before she gives him the time of day.
From my years as a dating coach teaching thousands of men how to get better at dating I can say the exact opposite is true.
If you think that being aloof, quiet and coy is sexy I’ve got a newsflash for you. Men like approachable women.
They do not read your indifference as you being some unobtainable goddess… much more likely they’ll think you hate them, give up and move onto someone else.
Dating isn’t a game of seeing who can trick the other person into some kind of wild goose chase. It’s about meeting people you like and connecting with them.
And the best way to start about doing this isn’t by ‘playing it cool’. It’s about being proactive and communicating what you want.
Hint: a smile is a good start.
