Britain’s largest book fair will bring bookworms flocking to Epsom this month and raise a huge amount for charity.

Around 50,000 books will be available for bookworms to purchase at Epsom Book Fair which is now in its 14th year.

The success of the event has not been dented by e-readers, as last year it raised around £28,500 for six different charities.

This year it is raising money for Action for Children, Cheam Methodists, our Scouts and Guides, Hope4Malawi, PHAB, Dyscover, and the food bank.

Jacqui Raggett, an organiser and member of the Epsom Methodist Church, said: "Each year we have been delighted to exceed the previous year’s total, so our aim this year, naturally, is to beat last year’s record.

"This year we have made some changes to how we manage the event, brought about by its increasing scale, and a recently retired church member, Andrew Jennings, has become involved and is heading up the volunteers, with me assisting (and hopefully making use of the experience I’ve gained over our 14 year history).
