Spring will start in style at Walton’s Heart shopping centre, following the announcement of a free planting workshop for children.
The Kids’ Club, in conjunction with children’s charity hospice Shooting Star Chase, will offer children the chance to plant seeds, while decorating pots at the same time, on Saturday, February 21.
Manager Mark Middleton said: "The idea of the Kids’ Club has always been focused on providing a family feel for visitors to the Heart, with fun activities for children.
"As with all activities we conduct at the Heart we want to make sure we are giving back to the community and this is why we thought it was important to bring on Shooting Star Chase."
Mr Middleton praised the support the charity provides to children and their families, and donations can be made throughout the day, which runs from 10am to 3pm.
The free workshop operates on a first-come first-served basis with new members receiving an exclusive welcome pack, and all attendees must be accompanied by adult at all times.
Further workshops are planned throughout 2015.
