Television favourite Holly Willoughby will help inspire young minds at the first Barnes Children's Literature Festival.

Ms Willoughby and her sister Kelly are the co-writers of the popular book series L'Etoile: School for Stars, which follows the lives, friendships and dreams of stardom of pupils at a stage school.

The duo's first book in the series became the highest selling children's debut in the UK in 2013 and the latest book in the series was released last month.

Ms Willoughby said working on School for Stars fulfilled a long-held ambition for she and her sister to write together.

She said: "It was a dream come true writing our own children's book and we are thrilled children love it as much as we do.

"Barnes is the loveliest village in London. It's a great place for families with a real community feel and we can't wait to be part of the fun on the day."

Holly and Kelly Willoughby appear at the Barnes Children's Literature Festival at the OSO Community Arts Centre, Station Road, at 10am on Saturday, April 25.
