A Croydon band who won a prestigious songwriting competition in America release their third album on Monday.
Hiding in Public's Worlds Away, Yards Apart, follows on from previous releases Silent Exchange and What Lies Ahead and sees the band take on the theme of alienation as suggested in the title.
It has already been well-received on the other side of the Atlantic with the title track, written by singer-songwriter David Holland, winning the International Songwriting Competition in 2008.
Led by Holland the band are a kind of session musician supergroup with each member having worked with some top names.
Top of that list is singer/guitarist Jamie Moses who has been the second guitarist to Brian May for over a decade in the Queen touring band and has also played in Mike & The Mechanics.
Drummer John Tonks has recently worked on sessions with acts such as Gabriella Cilmi, Paul Oakenfold and the Sugababes while keyboard player Kevin Poree is a regular on sessions with Paul Young, Billy Bragg and Roy Harper.
Paul Jordanous and Tom White, two regulars of the popular Big Beer Band, whose sessions have thrilled audiences at Croydon pubs such as The Brief and The Gun for many years, provide the horns.
The album is already available on the internet but comes out in CD form on Monday.
