A new comedy will be making its debut next month following three Hormonal Housewives as they battle weight gain, weight loss, PMS and men.

Written by husband and wife team, Julie Coombe and Jon McIsacc, Hormonal Housewives follows the lives, loves and losses of three 21st century women.

The show stars Margi Clarke who in the 80s was the lead singer of various punk bands and once supported Adam and the Ants.

She went on to land a role in cult British film Letter To Brezhnev in 1985, widely regarded as a seminal British film which and became a huge international hit.

She later worked as a presenter for Granada TV before landing parts in both Brookside and Coronation Street where she played Tyron Dobbs’ jailbird mum.

Other TV credits include parts in Casualty, Family Affairs, Benidorm and as presenter of the late night ITV show The Good Sex Guide which gained a massive audience of 13 million.

Margi will be joined by Kay Purcell, known for her roles as Gina Conway in the Tracy Beaker series, Candice Smilie in Waterloo Road and Cynthia Dogget in Emmerdale.

Completing the trio is Laura Checkley, one half of female double act Checkley and Bush, who runs her own comedy night in Leicester Square - fast becoming a popular comedy night out.

Adding to the stellar talent, the play will be directed by Hannah Chissick, the youngest ever recipient of the Channel 4 Theatre Director's bursary, who went on to become the youngest artistic director in the country, running Harrogate Theatre for three years.
