An action-packed fun day is being held next month to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the borough Epsom and Ewell.

All the fun of the fair, a parachute display, martial arts, a dog show, dance troops, a beer tent and Radio Jackie broadcasting live will be just a few of the activities on offer at the Epsom and Ewell Borough 75th Anniversary Fun Day on September 29.

There will be a crafts area, a kids’ zone for the youngsters, a fun fair for the thrill-seekers, guest star Derby the Horse, and lots of demonstrations, workshops, stalls and games.

The event is being organised by the Rotary Clubs of Epsom and Ewell, in partnership with the council, to celebrate the borough’s milestone.  Any profits raised by the organisers will be donated to charity.

Tony Axelrod, president of Epsom Rotary Club, said: "We are looking forward to welcoming local residents to what promises to be a fun-filled day of entertainment.

"This event is a fantastic opportunity for families in the area to get together."

The fun day will take place at the Hook Road Arena, in Epsom, from 12pm to 5pm.

Entry is by programme which can be purchased for £2 from venues across the borough in advance or £3 at the gate.

Children under 12 get in for free but must be accompanied by an adult.
