Exhibition explores mathematical concepts

Exhibition explores mathematical concepts
A new exhibition is exploring how mathematical concepts underpin artistic techniques.
Beauty is the First Test draws together existing and new artwork, as well as contemporary crafts.
The aim is to demystify a subject which is known to intimidate adults and children, through unique and stimulating works of art.
Beauty and playfulness are evident in the images, which can be appreciated by craftmakers and maths geeks alike.
The gallery has been curated by Liz Cooper, with support from Arts Council England.
A tour is also taking place for those wanting to find out more details behind the images and crafts on the opening night.
Crafts Council, Wandsworth Children's Services and The National Centre for Craft and Design have worked in partnership to develop the exhibition.
