Epsom Garden Society will be hosting the last show of its 80th anniversary year next weekend.

The society will be holding its autumn show at St Martin’s Junior School, in Ashley Road, Epsom, on September 15, from 2pm to 4pm.

A variety of autumn flowers, fruit and vegetables will be on display, and there will be a number of fun classes open to non-members including ‘longest runner bean’ and ‘funniest shape fruit or vegetable’, and, for the juniors, a ‘build an animal from fruit and vegetables’ team competition.

Epsom and Ewell mayor, Councillor Christine Long, will be visiting the show during the afternoon and will be presenting the prizes, and visitors will be able to enjoy homemade teas, a plant sale and raffle.
