Dark days of World War Two to be explored at Bourne Hall
The dark days of World War 2 (WW2) will be brought back to life at Bourne Hall.
Visitors will be able to meet members of the Home Guard, an air raid warden, a bomb disposal officer, an army cook and a housewife with her husband, who will all be re-enacted by experienced performers.
There will be free talks on bomb disposal, how to ‘make do and mend’ children’s clothes and clothes rationing.
Experts will also be on hand to help identify visitors’ WW2 objects and documents, and there will be exhibits displaying local newspapers from the time, Epsom and Ewell bomb maps, and genuine WW2 items.
