A singer and percussionist from Western Sahara will be performing at the World Heart Beat Music Academy in Southfields to mark the end of Sahara Live Week.

Aziza Brahim, who was born in a refugee camp in Algeria, will be singing on April 27 as a grand finale to a line-up of cultural activities and concerts taking place in London from April 20.

She will also deliver a workshop at Southfields Academy on Friday, April 26 for students Sahara Live Week was organised by Sandblast, a human rights charity working with the Saharawis from Western Sahara, in an effort to promote the Saharawi culture through concerts, films, discussions and workshops.
