If you are still missing Glastonbury, there is a free music festival in Croydon.
Three Croydon venues are taking part in Our Big Gig, a UK wide festival which will see more than 200,000 people attend 330 free music events.
Westow House, in Crystal Palace, Scream Lounge in South Croydon and the Shoestring Theatre in South Norwood will be hosting three very different free-to-enter nights.
Kicking off the festival, Thursday night at Westow House features an evening co-sponsored by the organisers of this October’s Croydon CROXjam Festival.
Headlined by the JukeBox Mash-Up, the crowd will also have the chance to name the songs which will be blended into a unique live blend of styles and genres.
Support comes from folk band, Dearlove and Cellar Door.
Friday night sees local role-model Chris Syrus hosting an open-mic night for all-comers at Scream Lounge and on Sunday, to wrap things up, Croydon Council’s Youth Arts team are staging a series of performances by young people from the Croydon Youth Theatre.
