It is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of all times, but it has never been performed live in its entirety…until now.

Carole King is set to recreate her 25-million selling 1971 album Tapestry on stage at British Summer Time at Hyde Park this summer.

It will also be the first time the four-time Grammy winner has performed in the UK for almost three decades.

King will perform many of her other hits as well as Tapestry, which contained tracks including Beautiful and (You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman.

Joining King is The Eagles member and Boys of Summer singer Don Henley and King’s daughter Louise Goffin, who is an acclaimed performer in her own right.

Carole Kings said: “I want to begin by thanking Londoners for making Beautiful: The Carole King Musical so successful.

“And now I’m coming to London and can’t wait to perform Tapestry from beginning to end for the first time ever! How perfect to be doing that in the heart of one of my favourite cities.

“I know I’m not alone in considering Don Henley one of the greatest songwriters of our time.

“I’m looking forward to hearing classic Eagles songs and other hits from Don and his band.  And, as a lifelong fan of Louise Goffin I can only say that there’s nowhere else I’d rather be on 3 July 2016 than Hyde Park in the great city of London.”

Carole King performs at British Summer Time at Hyde Park on July 3. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday (March 11). Go to bst-hydepark.com
