The line-up for this year’s Hampton Pool Summer Picnic Concerts series has been announced with 10cc, Elkie Brooks and The Lightning Seeds all set to perform at the intimate outdoor venue, writes Chloe Brett.

10cc will open the run of concerts on June 16, returning to Hampton Pool after a triumphant 2008 performance with a line-up that includes founding member Graham Gouldman.

Playing a 90-minute show, the audience can expect to hear all the hits including I’m Not in Love, I’m Mandy Fly Me and Art for Art’s sake.

On the following night, British jazz star Courtney Pine will be performing a set that will include tracks from his latest album Transition in Tradition, while on July 24, blues and rock diva Elkie Brooks’ 50th anniversary tour comes to town.

Other highlights of the concert series include a gig on July 23 from newly-reformed Brit-poppers The Lightning Seeds with support from the Lucinda Belle Orchestra, while Kid Creole and the Coconuts will be bringing some summer sun to the poolside on July 30.

Situated on the edge of Bushy Park, visitors to the Hampton Pool concerts are encouraged to bring a picnic.

Free access to the pool is included in the ticket price.
