Michael Eavis has hailed this year's Glastonbury Festival line up as the best ever.

The festival, which runs from June 22 to 26 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, will featue headliners U2, Coldplay and Beyonce, as well as the likes of Paul Simon, Don McLean and Primal Scream.

"If there has ever been a better line-up anywhere else in the country, then I promise I'll retire this year,” said Michael.

"This covers every aspect of popular music culture and really gives people something to look forward to in this austere climate - the benefits of which have to last for two years, until we're back again in 2013."

The lineup - available in full at www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk - features more than 100 acts, spread across 28 stages.

Among new areas in 2011 are a recreation of the iconic pyramid stage which formed the centrepiece of the 1971 festival - with many of the original performers – and Campo Pequeno, an alternative Latin American bullring with Mexican wrestling and tomato fights.

And remember, the last few tickets for this year’s festival go on sale this Sunday from 9am at www.seetickets.com/g2011, but only to those who have already registered.
