She says: "I never went through the traditional route of being a classical singer. After stage school is started out as a backing singer but was quickly identified to take solo parts and it

Working with Australian-born, Berlin-based Philip Mayers, Carewe is set to release a CD of 20th century classics, spanning almost the entire century.
Tunes such as Diamonds are Forever, Poor Little Rich Girl and At The Last Lousy Moments Of Love have been woven together by the pair in to a compilation entitled Serious Cabaret.
She says: "Philip and I have worked together on and off for 15 years. When it is just two musicians you can really hear the chemistry between us."
With the pair battling to fit in sessions around their busy schedules, alongside the issue of finding a middle ground between South London and Germany the pair took more than five years to complete
the CD but hope to begin promoting later this year.
She says: "Hopefully I can find somewhere to play locally, it is about finding the right venue."
Serious Cabaret is out on Amazon now.
