The MasterChef semi-finals continued with the eight remaining cooks heading to the biggest naval base in western Europe to serve lunch to members of the Royal Navy on board anti-submarine frigate HMS Northumberland.
Split into two teams of four, the red team of Liz, Jack, Jen and Stuart and the blue team’s Annie, Billy, Jane and Juanita had to create two main courses and a dessert to feed 110 members of the company.
They had less than four hours to deliver their menu and impress judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode and the crew members. The blue team won, which meant the red team, whose lemon tart sparked a number of mirth-filled tweets on Twitter, had to cook-off against each other.
However, many viewers thought the blue team should have lost and fuming fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
