Two Big Brother housemates will be evicted on Sunday, but viewers talking about the twist on social media are divided about whether it’s a good idea.

Emma Willis revealed on Friday that voting for the winner will be suspended at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. At that point, the two housemates with the fewest number of votes from the public will be immediately evicted.

The unlucky duo will be out of the famous Elstree house having just failed to make it to the final of the Channel 5 series, which will be broadcast on Tuesday.

If that wasn’t bad enough, there will be no hyped-up crowd, no Emma and no exit interview.

However, former housemates Lateysha Grace and Ryan Ruckledge – who was a contestant on The X Factor – will be returning for a task.

Loving the twist

Let’s not twist again

On Friday, Laura Carter became the latest contestant to be evicted. She left the house to both boos and cheers from the live audience and said she did not know how she felt about being given the boot.

The 30-year-old actress and model attracted controversy after bouts of heavy petting on camera with Marco Pierre White Jr, the son of the celebrity chef.

She was voted out in what was supposed to be the last eviction of the series.

Andy West, Jason Burrill and Jackson Blyton were spared eviction, but will now go back up for the public vote on Sunday alongside Hughie Maughan, Evelyn Ellis, Sam Griffen and Jayne Connery.
