Top Gear host Matt LeBlanc has been photographed filming the latest series of the popular car show on the Isle of Man.

In images released by the BBC the former Friends star is pictured on the island inside a Russian eight-wheeled Avtoros Shaman.

The Top Gear team have spent a few days filming on the island in preparation for the new series and also spent time there under the former presenting trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

Last month it was revealed that Matt had signed a two-series deal with the BBC to host the show when it returns.

He will return to front the popular BBC Two motoring show alongside Chris Harris and Rory Reid, with regular appearances from Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz and The Stig.

Matt’s co-host Chris Evans quit the show after one series, saying he gave it his best shot but it was “not enough”.

After he resigned, Chris said Matt is the “captain” that the show needs going forward and should remain on the show, dismissing reports that the pair’s relationship had broken down amid flagging audience numbers.

The 24th series of the show will air on BBC Two and globally next year with Clare Pizey as the executive producer and series editor Alex Renton.
