Scarlett Moffatt has said winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! would make her feel that being “a bit weird” does not matter.

The Gogglebox star – who has reached the final of the ITV reality series alongside comedian Joel Dommett and Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas – said she has always felt like an outsider and winning would be a big vote of confidence.

Asked what it would mean to her to be crowned Queen of the Jungle, she said: “As a kid, this will come as a surprise to you, I’ve always been a bit weird and I wasn’t accepted in a lot of social groups.

“So I feel that if I won I would be showing my little sister that it doesn’t matter, you can just be you.”

Scarlett, 26, had to face one of her biggest phobias on her last day in the jungle – her fear of small spaces.

The remaining trio were handed individual challenges to complete to win a lavish feast for their last night around the campfire.

Presenters Ant and Dec told a scared-looking Scarlett she had been selected for the Cavern of Claws, which involved collecting stars inside a sealed cave that was full of water and jungle critters.

The TV star looked terrified but insisted she was determined to give it a go, saying: “I can feel myself getting upset, but I feel if I can do this I might finally be able to go in lifts, because I was on the 34th floor out here and I walked the stairs because I can’t stand small space.”

Soon after Scarlett’s time had started, she grabbed a star from the ceiling.

But she looked less confident when rats and 3,000 mealworms joined her in the cave. Whimpering and tearful, she managed to secure the rest of her stars as cockroaches and crickets were being poured on her.

“Never again will I feel fear like this, I’m so happy and excited for the banquet,” she said.

Comedian Joel, 30, won his feast by munching through a rather less appetising menu.

He was presented with stomach-churning fare such as a dead hawk moth, a pig’s snout and fish eyes.

He was also offered a selection of delicious treats – but only the jungle tucker would win him stars.

One choice was between goat penis and testicles or New York cheesecake.

“What kind of a decision is that? Look at the consistency of the base,” Joel cried.

Sniffing the cheesecake, he whispered tenderly to it: “I’ll see you in a day, wait up for me.”

Joel said he was proud of himself for completing the challenge and said making it to the last round of the show had made him feel “special”.

He said: “The list of people who came into here is insane – Danny Baker, Larry Lamb, Carol Vorderman, and the guy from Homes Under The Hammer.

“My mum always told me I was special, but this is the first time I have ever felt special.”

Adam was not surprised to hear his final task involved spiders.

The actor, 28, has an extreme phobia of the critters and sought hypnotherapy to help him combat his fear before heading into the jungle.

Showing just how far he has come, Adam kept his cool as he put on a helmet filled with creepy crawlies, including spiders, that scurried over his face.

Elated after completing the trial, he cried: “It was so bad in there, I could hardly breathe. I did it. I knew you were going to put spiders into the last trial.”

First to be voted out this series was broadcaster Danny, followed by radio DJ Lisa Snowdon, ballroom dancer Ola Jordan, dancer Jordan Banjo, mathematician Carol , actor Larry, Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts, ex-footballer Wayne Bridge and Olympian Sam Quek.
